Workshop Description

The covid-19 pandemic has revealed an urgent need for improved resilience in communities worldwide, especially across the health, economic, and environmental domains. Yet, it is still unclear how to define, recognize, measure, and improve resilience across these tightly interconnected systems. These issues, recognized as relevant for design disciplines and in particular for the fields of health systems design and design for sustainability, constituted the topic of this workshop, which included presentations, hands-on group activities, and plenary discussions.
