The Health Systems Design Special Interest Group has been formed with the goal of creating a space and building a community for researchers who are interested in the study of health systems design. This initiative builds on the perception there is a steadily increasing interest in this topic within and beyond the Design Society. Systems design research and practice has a lot to offer in actively tackling the major health challenges facing society, and the Design Society can play a key role in making this happen. The need to connect people and technology provides us with unprecedented opportunities that we would like to bring to the fore with this Special Interest Group.
