Abstract

Tasks that involve creative problem-solving are especially challenging in distributed teams since virtual communication doesn’t stimulate the human senses the same as face-to-face interaction. Culture as category of influencing factors on creativity is therefore the focus of this contribution. A questionnaire is used to see if the need for supporting specifically cultural aspects of creativity is confirmed by the 101 participants. Two expert surveys follow to understand if models describing culture can be used to support creativity and to find potential starting points for such an integration.
